In which the development of convenience store chain (CVS), the density of number of stores is the greatest in the world. In order to make the business growth, CVS start to adjust business strategy and operational planning. There are a lot of strategies which include the adjustment of the operating area and facilities. This study explored the effects of operating area and facility on store performance for chain CVS. Data prior store layout and after relayout from 77 stores in central Taiwan was collected. The data include store area, operating facility, floor effect, average daily customer, sales volume and unit price. The results of data analysis showed that average daily customer flow, sales volume and unit price improved significantly, while a marked decline in the business operation of store floor effect. The major significant factors which affect store performance include business operation area, shelves, island refrigerator, dining seating and parking. Studies have shown the benefits of store renovation. The results is helpful for business owners to select the items reconstruction.
