The object of this research, taking FarEastern Memorial Hospital of Taipei County as an example, is to respond to the government to promote energy conseration measures and increase efficiency of energy use, and the main motive is to be the guardian of environment protection by exploring “efficiency improvement in energy use” and “energy-saving measures.” Through paper reading, we extract the following five reference points for this research: (a) power load management (b) air-conditioning system(c) lighting system (d) water resources and (e) other resources. Relevant papers are collected, collated and analyzed in order to understand the trend and measures of energy saving, and considerate its advantages and disadvantages to proceed with self-character analysis.
The executive stategy of energying saving was discussed frequently and anayalzed by electric quantity; consequently, air-conditioning system, lighting system, power, water-saving device, oil boiler and other energy-saving management plans are listed as amending points in priority and reviewed the reasons which result in energy consuming.
From Jun. 2007, FarEsterm Memorial Hospital has been overall executing water-and-power-saving strategies. Though the result is excellent, it also brings complaints from inner and outer customers because they are unaccustomed; what’s more, the deficinencies of old constructions and facilities which we seldom pay attention to are exposured as well, for example, the hot air usually flows in interior construction in summer.
In order to further understand the influences of energy-saving strategies executed continuousely from 2007 to 2009 in FarEastern Momorial hospital on its inner and outer cusotmers, we have conducted an overall questionnaire survey and interviews to understand cusomters’ feelings and suggestions which would be the directions of amendment afterword and also important reference for the second-zone extension project of FarEasterm Memorial hospital.
This research explores and analyzes the actual data from the promotion of energy conservation in FarEastern Memorial Hospital. Among the bottlenecks encountered during promoting energy conservation, there are three difficulties which need to be overcome in priority, such as modify energy-saving efficiency of facilities, streghten energy-saving management and affect customers’habits. These three difficulties are analyzed, explained and summarized into some suggestions in later parts which can be supplied to the management team of hospital as reference of decision making.
