In this thesis, a novel structure of indoor localization for an intelligent robot is proposed by using 2.45 GHz active RFID devices. Since active RFID devices have a prominent capability on long distance communication, it is the reason they are applied to localization for a self-charging robot at a large space. Simulation results are presented the indoor self-charging robot to achieve accuracy localization. The proposed indoor localization system also has two advantages of using fewer RFID tags and simplifying computation.
