| Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 社會暨政策科學學系 === 98 === In 2005, the Executive Yuan proposed “Taiwan Health Community Six-star Project” in order to meet the needs for social security. In the aspect of community security, the contents are community security, community precaution against natural calamities, and precaution against domestic violence. Social capital theory emphasizes that community organization can form the visible and invisible interaction networks, produce the power of norms, build up the basis of trust through public participation, and then promote community collective action to the end. This study aims to choose one of the security model communities，“Dafa Village, Bade City, Taoyuan County”, as the research subject. The purpose of this study is to analyze its effects on the progress of security community, and explore the development of Dafa Security Community from social capital viewpoints. This research chooses a qualitative research method which focuses on the in-depth interview.
The findings of the study shows that it can construct the resource connection of social security networks, accumulate the social norms of community residents, and enhance social trust between community residents through the development of Dafa security community. In conclusion, the suggestions for the development of Dafa Village are as follow:
1. The government should continuously carry out the security community policies and set up evaluation and counseling duties.
2. The community can join other community development plans spontaneously.
3. The community should build up community consciousness and encourage more residents to participate in the activities.
4. The community should cultivate more community development manpower and form a learning organization.
5. The community should extend the security community into a model of community league.
It is hoped that such a study can help Dafa Village develop a better and mature security community and set a fine example for other security communities.
