Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 企業管理學系 === 98 === The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of NGOs in economic and social development in rural Estelí, the research recognize the impact of economic and social change. Furthermore it attempt to bring out the relationship between the population and NGOs. It presumes that the relationship could put in plain words the significant influence of social and economic aspects in the accomplishment of social change (Community development and income improvement). The study is separate in five chapters. Chapter one describe the objectives and scope of the research. Chapter two is concern with the theoretical framework and conceptual approach to the trouble. Chapter three illustrates the methodology, including study sample, data collection method of analysis and methodological restraints. Chapter four portrays Survey and Hypothesis Testing Results. Chapter five exposes conclusions arising out of analysis of the results of the study, some recommendations are added as well. The three hypotheses tested in the study are: 1. Economic limitations are the major cause of agricultural deficiency in the area. 2. NGOs in rural areas have an important role in availability of loan for farming. 3. Lack of Education (technical know-how) among the farmers in rural areas cause low yield of crops. The study was analyzed taking a sample of 102 persons; the information was collected trough interviewing plan which contained three parts. The first part consisted of the general information of the respondents. The second part treated with quality of life (living, health and education) and the third and last part dealt with NGOs work in the area. The analysis of information consisted in two parts. First, simple tabulation of frequencies and percentage made it through excel and SPSS software. Second, Chi Square method was used to test hypotheses for significant relationship. All of the total of the hypotheses were accepted none was rejected at 0.05 level of significance. Then conclusions and recommendations were followed.
