As the first maintained completely monk hagiography—Liang Dynasty Hui Jiao’s "The Eminent Monk Hagiography" contains 453 monks whose stories are before Liang-Wu-Di(the Liang Dynasty emperor). Each of them is monk’s model. The whole book from the top to the bottom almost includes monks’ wonder miracles. There are ten categories in the book: (1) Translators(yijing); (2) Exegetes(yijie); (3)Divine Wonders (shenyi) (4)Practitio- Ners of Meditation(xichan); (5) Elucidators of the Regulations(ming-lu), devoted to scholars of the Vinaya; (6) Those Who Sacrificed Themselves (wangshen), devoted to monks who sacrificed their bodies to feed animals or as offerings to Buddhas or Bodhisattvas; (7) Chanters of Scriptures(songjing); (8)Benefactors(Xingfu), devoted to monks who solicited funds to construct monasteries or for other Buddhist enterprises; (9)Hymnodists(jingshi); and (10)Proselytizers (changdao). Although the wiriter Hui Jiao create the Divine Wonders this category, not Divine Wonders has a lot of thaumaturgy but other nine categories have special thaumaturgy. The present paper take "Eminent monk Biography" the gods and ghosts story as the object of study, altogether divides into five chapters. The first chapter introduction, showed separately the research motive, the method and the predecessor research results tell in brief. Second chapter " The Eminent Monk Hagiography " the author and the edition, the author bright biography embarks by " The Eminent Monk Hagiography ", again compared to the comparison " The Eminent Monk Hagiography " and "Famous Monk Biography", finally narrates " The Eminent Monk Hagiography " briefly the edition. The third chapter elaborates first Buddhism enters China''s background as well as the mystical strength after the religious necessity, with emphasis will place analyzes its gods and ghosts fact the distributed situation, the type as well as the gods and ghosts fact appearance reason. With two topics “Stresses in ''the god'' gods and ghosts fact” and “stresses in the ''different'' gods and ghosts fact”, I try to analysis and compare wonder story and miracle story in Daoxuan’s "Continues Eminent monk- Gongtong" and " The Eminent Monk Hagiography- Shenyi ". Fifth chapter summarizes. This Chapter points out " The Eminent Monk Hagiography " which has lower historical authenticity because of the gods and ghosts story, but instead has the literature significance actually.
