碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 文化資產維護系碩士班 === 98 === From 2000 on, Taiwan government was getting ready to choose the potential sites of World Heritage into action, and the project tried to be a model for the conservation of cultural property in Taiwan. Up until 2009, for 9 years, there are 17 sites to be listed in the official document. Council for cultural affairs holds a series of lecture courses, and gives an impetus to the community self-identity, and advances some basic survey and protection. Quemoy, also named Kinmen or Jinmen, became one of potential sites in the process. This thesis tries to rethink how we engage in the potential site of World Heritage in Taiwan through a case study of Quemoy. First, I try to build a t theoretical concept for integrative culture includes living culture, ecological culture and productive culture by thinking universal values of locality, and use the concept to replace a normal cultural classification in Quemoy, a concept of three historical periods, Min-nan (Hokkien) Culture, the overseas Chinese culture and military culture. Secondly, I will review a process and current conditions for the conservation of cultural property in Taiwan, and try to rethink integrant values of heritages. Thirdly, I point out a way how to engage in heritage by discussing spirit of charter of the UNSECO, correct attitude and long-term version, Actor-Network Theory participation. Finally, I want to emphasize that World Heritage policy is a national strategy for breaking through diplomacy isolation, but we could promote the concept and version of heritage engage in this process, and build a new frame and master plan for our potential sites of World Heritage in Taiwan.
