Description
Summary:碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 建築與室內設計系碩士班 === 98 === Rules and principles embed in natural things. Getting twigs and fibers from trees and imitating forms of trees, our ancestors learned how to weave. Thus walls and roofs are weaved to enclose and to divide spaces. Territories are consequently defined. People thus have “shelters” to keep themselves from the invasions of winds, rains and beasts. Based on the idea of skin and weaving this researchadopts a parametric model, which represents and controls some generative relationships of weaved building envelopes.. The inner rules of fabric is firstly investigated. The diverse characteristics of woven forms are consequently represented by diverse parameters. The parametric system can derive diverse building envelopes to adapt different needs and the environment in terms of generative algorithm. The weaving system explores new forms of building envelope, and develops a new method of building envelope design.
