Summary: | 碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計系碩士班 === 98 === This research is to figure out the connection between the design and the form of beverage containers. In the immense beverage market, consumer will judge and recognize the differences according to the image of product''s form and then make their decision. Nowadays, there is very few research about the form of beverage containers, therefore, I will start from consumer''s point of veiw on the image of beverage containers'' form. Furthermore, I will go through the details, which will effect the image and weight of beverage containers'' design.
There are four stage of the research. The first stage is to recognize the image of the beverage contianers'' form. By making the experiment, we get the information from the interview and divided the interviewer into group. By classifying the essential factor of design and focus group discussing, we therefore build the structure of beverage containers'' design and form on the second stage. The third stage is analyze the weight of the essential factors of the design and form. Through Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), we could find out the importance of the essential factor of the design and form. The fourth stage is to design the beverage container, confirm the design, redesign the container and then evaluate the design by using questionaire for containter image.
The result of the research is as below:
1. According to the statistical analysis, we could divided the form of beverage container into six type form image, which is "Natural and Organic", "Geometry and Steady", "Common and Firm", "Simple and Streamlined", "Rational and Square", and "Round and Cute".
2. Generalizing the essential factors of beverage containers'' design from the research, we could find out there are six design configurations and seveteen design factors as below:
(1) The essential factors in "Composition of the form" are "container shape", "container size" and "container image".
(2) The essential factors in "Pattern arrangement" are "pattern type", "pattern arrangement" and "pattern quantity".
(3) The essential factors in "Process material" are "surface handling" and "material choosing".
(4) The essential factors in "Function" are "convenience", "safety", "composition" and "usage".
(5) The essential factors in "Brand image" are "brand style" and "brand shape".
(6) The essential factors in "Contents" are "beverage type" and "beverage color".
3. Analyzing the essential factors and design configurations of beverage containers'' design, please find the comparison between the six design configurations and seveteen design factors as below:
(1) In design configurations, "Brand image" is the top priority, the secondary one is "Composition of the form", and then is"Contents", "Function", "Pattern arrangement", "Process material".
(2) There is seventeen design essential factors, first one of the top three is "brand style", second one is "brand shape" and then is the rest 15 factors including "container image".
