Currently, sub-contractor selection is based on experience and instinct. The lack of systematic selection process results in the inefficiency. Although formwork is kind of temporary operations, it plays an important role in terms of operation costs, construction duration, quality and laborer demands. The cost of formwork costs, including laborer and materials, is about 60% of total cost of reinforced concrete structure (RC). Formwork cost is one of the major costs in terms of RC construction costs. Formwork is one of items that required high-demanded laborer. Performing proper formwork sub-contractor selection is one of the critical success factors of architectural construction projects. The study aims to build an evaluation model of formwork sub-contractor selection via expert interview and questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by using Analytical Network Process. With four-dimension and 13-assessment item (AI), the proposed formwork sub-contractor selection model was evaluated by two experienced professional experts. Research results indicate that the importance of the four dimensions, in descending order, are conduct (0.3479), engineering (0.2729), technology (0.2127), management (0.1666), respectively. The top five AIs, importance in descending order, are: Occupational Safety and Health license (0.1169), coordinated to construction duration (0.1138), contract price (0.1123), construction duration controlling (0.1073), similar working experience (0.0850), respectively. According to the two professional experts, the ranking within engineering and conduct dimensions are identical while technology and management dimensions are slightly different. The proposed model and reviewing results show that similar working experience and overall construction quality are the most important AIs within technology dimension. Labor efficiency and duration controlling are the most important AIs within management dimension. The proposed sub-contractor selection model is able to satisfy the needs for construction projects. none 陳維東 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 92 zh-TW
