In addition, the author analysis the variations of cogging torque and harmonics for the different type of structures. In this thesis, the iron case of motor will be investigated, and establish the different size of outside thickness and bottom width of iron case. Then use the finite-element method (FEM) to simulate the properties for the different structures of iron case. All of the FEM simulation results are compared with the measurement results, and was verified. The single-phase brushless dc motor have difficult in getting start, so the stator is usually use the asymmetric structure to overcome it. But not only design the stator to asymmetric structure, to add length of the asymmetric part of stator structure can effective increase the starting torque and reduce the harmonics of cogging torque. In addition, the thesis discusses the difference of the finite-element software two-dimensional and three-dimensional so that users can realize the software property to design the single-phase brushless de motor correctly.
