Description
Summary:碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 財務金融系碩士班 === 98 === As technology and internet develop in recent years, e-commerce has become a new channel for bank’s transaction. By using a cross-sectional dataset of Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan of year 2008; this study investigates how the internet adoption affects bank’s performance, cost and asset portfolio. The regression results show that internet banking has a significant positive relation with non-interest expenses, indicating that internet adoption increases bank’s cost. The results show that there is no significant evidence between internet adoption and bank’s risk and revenue. The empirical results indicate that bank can increase lending by using internet. Thus the overall performance of bank is positively related to internet adoption.
