The novel application was embedded in the LCD panel to split different image into human eyes. In the calculation, this research adopted an 8.9-inch TFT LCD panel as the test case, and simulation via diffraction grating software Gsolver and optical simulation software ZEMAX, LightTools. Next, input several different image pair to analysis the stereo-efficiency. From the simulated results of LightTools, the average brightness of prototype was 77.90 percents, the crosstalk and chromatic aberration hardly produced on the display, besides, the horizontal shifting and vertical shifting of polygon prism array were ±3 micrometers and +90 micrometers to −10 micrometers. At the high stereo-efficiency performance, its feasibility was consistent with our ideal; finally, the diffractive type autostereosopic system could be fabricated through the different techniques in the future.
