The hardness of forging wheel is determined by the process of heat treatment operations. This research used Taguchi Methods to optimize the wheel heat treatment production parameters of forging wheel to have the best hardness. The results show that the factors affecting the hardness by order of importance are the aging temperature,solution temperature,solution retention time,aging retention time, quenching temperature. From the results of the ANOVA analysis, the contributions of aging temperature, solution temperature, solution retention time, aging retention time, quenching temperature are 45.73%、31.01%、6.82%、3.16%、2.83%, respectively. The total contribution for these five factors is up to 89.54%. and these combination can improve the hardness from 92 to 117.
