Observation of the improvement of the left ventricular function and fibrosis following the human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell from Wharton’s jelly injection. In our experiments, 1×106 undifferentiated , TGF-β2 induced human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells from Wharton’s jelly and normal saline inject into the myocardium of myocardial infarct rat, and observation by echocardiogram, Masson’s Trichrome staining, immunohistochemistry, also, examine the ability of C-troponin-I, CK-MB in the serum to assess morphologically and functionally the undifferentiated and TGF- β 2 induced human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells from Wharton’s jelly repair the myocardial infarct rat. We find out that undifferentiated and TGF-β2 induced human mesenchymal stem cells from Wharton’s jelly improve left ventricular systolic function by lowering down the activity of cardiac enzyme and reducing the area of fibrosis of cardiomyocytes. Also, The retention of transplanted human mesenchymal stem cells from Wharton’s jelly start to express the cardiac marker—C troponin I . Hwai-Shi Wang 王懷詩 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 72 zh-TW
