Summary: | 碩士 === 台南科技大學 === 美術研究所 === 98 === This research aims to explore the process of self-introspection, starting with the personal living experience and being followed with the artistic creation. The artistic creation probes into one’s self and searches for the elements for creation from one’s own living experience. It integrtates the living experience with the instintual feelings, and turns them into the artistic appearance. Through the theory analyses, this research takes the “private space” as the subject and is based on some theories such as the Existentialism, Symbol, Art Deco, Gestalt Psychology, the Subconscious Mind and so on. During the process of the creation, the researcher keeps introspecting, comparing and revising in order to clarify the essence of the creation. Through the analyses of the artistic works, the creation integrates passions with thoughts in order to bring the audience different visual reception and understands the self in the art more deeply by means of the creation. The researcher applies the female specific elements and mechanisms to the creation, making use of the cloth material and other compounds to present the process of the inner self-exploration, self-consciousness and self-metamorphoses. Furthermore, the “private space” is explored. The main ideas of the chapters in this research are described as follows.
1.There are three parts in this section, the motivation and background of the research, the purpose of the research and the research procedures.
2.This section includes the theory bases of the research such as the Existentialism, Symbol, Art Deco, Gestalt Psychology, the Subconscious Mind and so on.
3.This section explores the multi-facets of the visual perception, and explains the creation models of eastern and western artists. In this way, the unique of the self-creation is examined.
4.The creation starts with female thoughs and applies the female elements such as cloths, laces and beads to the creation in order to interpret the inner passion.
5.The researcher analyzes the self-creation by releasing the inner reception.
6.This section explains the researcher’s research and works according to four parts, the content, the creative idea, the theory bases, and the materials and the mechanisms.
7.This section includes the conclusion of this research and the reflection upon the future creation.
