Generally specking, to design the high power amplifier using single monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) is highly difficult, especially to obtain the best impedance matching and linearity on chip. Therefore, this study combined two power amplifiers by using Wilkinson power divider and Wilkinson power coupler to increase 3dB output power and better linearity. In this research, firstly to introduce the Wilkinson power devider/combiner simulation, design and practical measurement as gauging. And then focusing on comparing the linear output power with single power amplifier and Wilkinson power divider/coupler booster module by measuring CW signal for P1dB and measuring 802.11g modulation for EVM performance.
