| Summary: | 碩士 === 大同大學 === 工業設計學系(所) === 98 === The main purpose of this study is to explore the area effect on color harmony in web page design, and to develop a color harmony model. Therefore, we plane two
experiments to fulfil this purpose.
In Experiment Ⅰ, ten basic colors were used to make 90 two-color combinations.
These color combinations were applied onto 4 area ratios. In total, 360 experimental samples were made. These experimental samples were displayed on a full screen web page. Thirty observers were invited to participate in Experiment Ⅰ. The results showed area has no effect on “harmonious-disharmonious” and “like-dislike”. In addition, white color can easily be liked and cultivate harmony feeling. On the ground of Experiment Ⅰ, a color harmony madel was developed.
Experiment Ⅱ was used to examine the perfoemance of the color harmony model. The
results showed this model can predict color harmony very well.
