Fourteen male college student-athletes were recruited as the participants. All the participants were randomly assigned to either the imagery or the control group. Both groups practiced electric panel tracing for 12 times, whereas the imagery group underwent additional imagery training after each practice. Performance was evaluated and EEG was collected prior to and after the experimental sessions. EEG data were recorded on the electrode sites of T3, T4, F3 and F4 according to the International 10-20 system. Independent t-test was used to assure the homogeneity of the two groups, and then three way ANOVA was utilized to analyze the differences in brain waves and motor performance between two groups. Results showed that there was no significant difference in T3, T4, F3 and F4 EEG alpha and motor performance between the imagery and control groups. The study concluded that the imagery training didn’t add extra effects beyond that of physical practice on performance and T3, T4, F3, F4 EEG alpha. Future research should consider factors such as the intensity of imagery training and the length of imagery instruction on the effect of imagery training. Key words: imagery training, motor performance, EEG 洪聰敏 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 61 zh-TW
