This work sited his realms of interests in the relationship between words and images, as to the discussion of Representation. In the mid-1960’s after Magritte read Michel Foucault’s famous “Les Mots et les choses”, they exchanged letters for defining the issues “resemblance”,”similitude”and”representation”. Then Foucault published a book “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” in 1973 which brought at the apogee of these issues.
