Description
Summary:碩士 === 東南科技大學 === 防災科技研究所 === 98 === The study is a new microwave/catalysis system within the production of biodiesel. Microwave heating is unique and offers a number of advantages over conventional heating such as: energy transfer, not heat transfer; rapid heating; material selective heating; heating starts from interior of the material body; higher level of safety and automation. But no article has been discussion with the microwave catalyst application on the production of biodiesel. Besides this, the continuous production of large numbers of biodiesel also a test of the engineer. For these reason, we comprises a household microwave oven (2450 MHz) modified as the reaction chamber, which will fitted with a cylindrical quartz reactor comprising a catalytic packed column filled with granular zeolite, Porphyries Andesite or volcanic rocks. The results show that the microwave/catalysis system for biodiesel production results in line with national requirements for biodiesel, while heating than traditional heating approach also significantly reduces production cost of nearly 80 percent. Within the use of this device, the lower microwave power and the increase biodiesel production capacity, leading to a successful commercialization of the microwave/catalytic system.
