In occultism (mysticism), 21st century would be the century of spirit, and it would enter a new age which symbolizes humanism. That is to say, people want to seek the progress in social, material, and technology. They also want to find the common in human spirit that surpasses race, the color of skin, nation, nationality, and religious sect. It focuses on the search for “spirit” and “mind.” Not only should life return to the most natural condition, also the spirit of human should zero and go back to the realist natural character.
This essay explored the orbit of self spirit, and art was represented by the form of spirit transforms. According to the art, the author recalled the self history and works in early periods, and who liked to paint the subject of nature. Was it the language of the author’s spirit or the medium for the author’s life apprehension and interior feeling? To understand the influence of artistic creation on the author, that’s the reason the author, decided to do the research. On one hand, the document described how to pursuit self spirit in eastern and western masters, and it discussed about the relationship between nature and spirit. On the other hand, the document looked back to the history and theory of romanticism and Barbizon School, and it connected to the paintings of Friedrich..
There are three goals of this artistic creation.
First, see through and explore the heart of one self. Second, use the form of art to express spiritual nature, and transform it from abstract to concrete. Third, make a breakthrough in the form of artistic creation, create own style and new technique of painting.
The works are displayed as the subject of nature. They are divided into three parts, one is “The Gaze of Myself”, another is “The Love of Spirit”, the other is “The Lyric Poetry of Life.”
