students’ learning motivation and learning effect to swim, and comparing the difference under different background variables in Daan District of Taipei City. A self-developed questionnaire was used as the instrument. 707 valid questionnaires were recovered, and the valid recovering rate is 94%. Within the scope of this study,the following conclusions were derived:
1. In comparing the differences among learning motives of participation, different teachers affected 「Reward」. Whether the school has a swimming pool affect「Fun」. Different levels of swimming learners all responded differently in「Health」、「Fun」、「Success」、「Reward」.
2. In comparing the differences among learning effects of participation, different teachers affected 「Cognition」、「Skills」. Whether the school has a swimming pool affect「Sentimen」. Different levels of swimming learners all responded differently in「Cognition」、「Sentiment」、「Skills」.
3. There was significant positive correlation between learning motivation and learning effec to swim in Daan District of Taipei City.
