Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 音樂學系教學碩士學位班 === 98 === The flourishing development of Hakka culture has introduced a broad variety of performances to traditional Hakka folk songs, and led to a gradual transformation in its music presentation and vocal style. Over the past few decades, much of Chun-ming Lu’s life has been devoted to promoting Hakka folk songs. After thorough research and investigation, Lu compiled and recreated traditional Hakka mountain songs into various styles of performances: vocal solo, vocal duet, Hakka mountain opera etc. This research explored Lu’s life and career, his Fours years of experience in conducting “Keelung City Rainrhythm Choir”, as well as his selection and research on Hakka folk songs. The purpose of this research was to examine and to illustrate Lu’s decades of works on Hakka folk songs collection and study. His music training and years of experience in conducting choir allowed us to explore the creativity and true significance of Hakka folk songs and music. This research will not only serve as a reference to future researchers, but inspire Hakka folk composers to take an innovative approach and incorporating diverse elements into their works.
