Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 教育學系碩士班 === 98 === Machiavelli is widely known for 《The Prince》. He is a unique character and also a controversial thinker in the history. Some people regard Machiavelli as the incarnation of devil, and some people even think his name is synonymous with evil. The main topics of《The Prince》is the statecraft, and it analysis how a ruler obtains, maintains and expands his power. In this book, Machiavelli subverts the traditional view and advocates “the ends justify the means”, and to separate politics from the religion and moral. The intention of this study is to realize the ideal of 《The Prince》, to analyze Machiavelli’s moral thoughts and the characteristics of leaders in it, and to give some insights into the current problems of moral education in Taiwan.
