The development of this group could be divided into four periods. “Ding-Bi Calligraphy Painting Group” (1933-1939) is a beginning of Keelung City Calligraphy Association. It’s a foundation of calligraphy in Keelung. The next period is “Keelung Calligraphy Association”(1940-1944). Although it’s during Japanese occupation, the calligraphy movement and paintings exhibition was held. However, it’s dismissed because of the war. After Taiwan retrocession, Keelung calligraphy association was resumed and named “Taiwan Province Keelung City Calligraphy Study Association” officially. Atmosphere of study calligraphy was viable. It promoted indirectly the founder of “China Calligraphy Association” and held a lot of exhibition of national calligraphy. Unfortunately, it’s canceled the name on official file because of the work in association was interrupted. In the year of 1993, it resumed officially and changed the name to original name “Keelung City Calligraphy Association” It continued to hold the national calligraphy exhibition, county calligraphy exhibition…etc. They tried their best to promote calligraphy movement. I’m not only to investigate the history of Keelung city calligraphy association development, but also inspect the impact of calligraphy activities to society by looking these activities in Keelung city calligraphy association, such as calligraphy lectures, manuscript competition per month, calligraphy exhibition, national calligraphy alternate exhibition… etc. In order to understand the character of calligraphy art in calligrapher nowadays, I do a research to the calligrapher in Keelung city calligraphy association in order to realize the character and style in calligraphy art., such as Yao –Si Lin, Pu - tong Li, Bai –Fu Cheng, Hsuan- Lu Chang, Chen- Hsiang Liao, Chao – erh Chen, Meng – Liang Chiang. I try to find out the impact of calligrapher activities to whole calligraphy occasion and the special character of calligraphy art in mixing Taiwan traditional calligraphy study with Japanese calligraphy. I do my best to explain the impact and value of Keelung City Calligraphy Association in Taiwan calligraphy history and focus on the sprits of calligraphy art in calligrapher. It’s a record of study to prove the Taiwan modern calligraphy history which could reveal the contribution of Keelung City Calligraphy Association to Taiwan modern calligraphy occasion and mark a historical stage objectively for Keelung City Calligraphy Association Keyword: Keelung City Calligraphy Association, Japanese calligraphy, Taiwan calligraphy accasion. 余崇生 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 250 zh-TW |
