Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 資訊工程學系碩士班 === 98 === In this paper, we propose a model for active contours to detect object in a given image. This model based on techniques of curve evolution with level set method, and detect object’s boundaries are not necessarily defined by gradient. The advantage of the level set method is that one can perform numerical computations involving curves and surfaces on a fixed Cartesian grid without to parameterize these object. And the level set method makes it very easy to follow shapes that change topology, for example, shape splites in two or two shapes merge to in one.
