It has been used extensively to designing small size, light weight microwave filters. TE mode of a DR excited with magnetic filed from microstrip line is applied in the study. Since many other modes are also excited, the suppression of higher spurious modes is an important issue in preventing spurious responses. In this research effort, Ansoft High Frequency Structure Simulation (HFSS) and Agilent Advanced Design System (ADS) software were utilized for the simulation study.
