Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 工業工程與管理研究所 === 98 === In the past, serious accidents of nuclear power plant usually had relation with the negligence, error handling and wrong decisions of operators. Therefore, to understand and be able to measure mental workload levels of operators are significant for safety issues in the nuclear power plant, especially when operators face emergency conditions. However, most of the existing major methods of mental workload measurement, which can be categorized into task performance measures, physiological parameters measures and subjective rating measures, are post analysis, or the mental workload can only be measured during performing tasks. Therefore, these methods are lack of a way to predict mental workload. Hence, by applied an abnormal operation procedure as a case, this study used the McCracken-Aldrich technique to analyze and predict mental workloads on sequential tasks of the procedure. Then, the NASA-TLX questionnaire was used to collect operators'' subjective rating of their mental workloads on these tasks. Finally, the study analyzed the information obtained by the two methods, and obtained their correlation and constructed a regression model. Results showed that the level of resource consumption task attention used in the McCracken-Aldrich technique can effectively explain and predict the mental workloads of operators. The findings should be able to help the improvement on the nuclear power plants task procedure.
