碩士 === 東海大學 === 美術學系 === 98 === Abstract
According to Sigmund Freud, art is an expressive sublimation of our repressed desire. When a desire is inhibited, it may well be put to practice by striving in the fantasy world for relief and self-fulfillment.This is pretty much the same as a remedial healing of aching heart by exploring some mental comfort of another kind, marking the psychological impulse needed for art creativities. Nevertheless, the process of art creation calls for such a drive occasionally at the spur of the moment.
A personal creative attitude at will falls for some exiled emotional pattern, a fancy without bondage and limitation. The creative motivation comes from the experienced physical and mental impression of the great nature before presenting the composed picture by pure visual sense converted into regenerated rich imagination and random images. The scope of creativity study covers the not wholly connected works, between 2006 and 2009, produced at different stages, and, ever changed with space-time as well as mood in multiple features fabricated simply by the two major visual elements, the “form” and the “color”, exhibiting far more forcibly through effective integration and organization to convey the painting language with diversified sorts of concept and image. By means of the coloring and linear combination, and the use of paint trickling has triggered the accidental craft to reflect the personal mood and idea. For the other discarded substantial image in reality applied with geometric or uncertain image and color simplified or animated to deliver the beauty sense in an order of form and superficial visual phenomenon, and consequently, express the emotion and concept with form and color. Order of chapters and sections was formulated from the development and introspection in university years per se before moving forward on the history track and abstract painting of relevant creative works affecting the same person.
Chapter1:Motive and direction of study.
Chapter2:Personal creative experience and concept including works in university days and changes of style, and so forth.
Chapter3:History track of the related creation and the ink-and-wash as well as the Oriental Chinese culture tradition under discussion.
Chapter4:To analyze the works to investigate the choice and structural coloring of material, and at the same time, bring forth another sort of thinking and sensation to art through works analysis to renew visual experience. Relatively, the discovery and experiment of abstract art form are being carried out in creativities and pursuing of better representation continuously. This is all the more a goal for me to achieve so that I might expect of many far more different presentations in my future approach of creation.
