Because of the large number of people using wireless network, the application of wireless media will be more popular and widespread. VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is also called internet telephony or broadband phone, which is the new type of telephone communications technology through Internet by IP network. Both the delay and packet loss will be the factor to affect the quality of voice. Therefore the handover latency on the wireless network and packet loss need to minimize as much as possible. In this paper we will analyze the handover delay and packet loss problems in MIPv6 and F-HMPv6 by comparison.
