music teachers on their teaching problems and students’ learning situation for
music teachings; (2) To design the ‘literature integrate into the creative music teaching plan’ properly for junior high school students, moreover, through the teaching program to excite students’ learning interests; (3) To discover the effect of junior high school students’ music learning performance after the‘literature integrate into the creative music teaching’ program; (4) The researcher enjoyed professional growth on creative curriculum design and
methodology, during the process of action research.
The research employs the method of action research. Subjects are 35
students (female – 17, male – 18) who are taught by the researcher in their one 9th grade class in junior high school to conduct a 17-weeks activity. The
instruments used in this study included:‘literature integrate into the creative music teaching plan’, record of teaching observation, reflective journal, worksheets, interviews, music learning attitude scale, teaching recordings, ‘satisfaction scale for literature integrate into the creative music teaching’, and the students’ creative works. The findings of this study were as follow:
1. The score of every section in the music learning attitude scale are post-test
much higher than pre-test, and students for learning attitude of curriculum
has been improved.
2. The average rating of each question in the ‘satisfaction scale for literature Ⅳ integrate into creative music teaching’ from all the students are all higher than 4.25. Most students are very satisfied the literature integrate into the creative music teaching method.
3. Creative works of students has also showed that their creativity had fully
expressed and integrated with curriculum content properly. Therefore,
students have more interactive participation and learning interests in the
classroom.
Finally, Suggestions for teachers of arts and humanities domain in junior
high schools and future research are discussed at the end of the thesis.
