Summary:碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 通訊工程研究所 === 98 === Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a promising transmission technology for high data rate communications, and it will be also adapted by the 4G mobile communication groups. In the OFDM system, the information is divided and modulated into several subcarriers, and then the frequency selective fading channel will be simplified to the flat fading channel and the inter-symbol interference (ISI) can be reduced. Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) System is a reliable transmission technology, which can enhance the communication quality. In the approach, the multiple antennas will be used in the receiver and/or transmitter. In this thesis, by Matlab program, we present the performance evaluation of a 2T1R antenna under multipath channel for the OFDM systems. To evaluate the communication performance, the Lognormal model is provided first. Then, the Power-Delay Profile (PDP) is considered, by the OFDM technique and the Space-Time Block Codes (STBC), the improvement can be estimated by computer simulation.
