Summary:碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 98 === When making products by using injection molding machine, the parameters input will have an impact on the final product. There are some parameters that should be determined before making a product using the machine. This paper discuss whether temperature, pressure, packing time, or injection velocity will affect the quality of the products, and a polycarbonate (PC) safety optical glasses had been chosen as the product. First, the Unigraphics NX software was applied to design the product. Then the Moldex software was followed for the next step for carry out some simulations. With these software’s, the quality of product can be predicted before it produces using injection molding machine. The analytical simulations not only make the production process more effective and efficient, but also can reduce the costs to obtain the optimal output. Taguchi method was used to optimize the result and will decrease the number of simulation. The result was applied to create safety optical glasses using the machine. Finally, this safety optical glasses can be produced by injection molding machine with 0.4496 mm warpage.
