Summary: | 碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 資訊管理系 === 98 === There are many uncertain influence factors during the period from the new product development to the mass production and marketing. Therefore, it would provide very important decision-making information for enterprises, to evaluate new product development projects properly and objectively. If an enterprise makes decision only considering with very few factors, such financial factors as forecasted ROI and so on, then it would increase the risk of failure due to the subjective and narrow judgment. However, if an enterprise can evaluate one or more new product development projects with objective and full estimate, it can screen out more feasible projects to avoid the insufficiency or wasting of resources, and even the contest of resources.
For the sake of evaluating projects with objective and full estimate, this research hereby proposes a hierarchical evaluation model by referring to the evaluation methods of new product development projects, issued by scholars and experts. The hierarchical evaluation model includes some evaluation criteria, by considering the aspects of finance, technology, and internal-and-external environment. Its evaluation process preliminarily excludes some unfeasible projects according to the limitation of some key evaluation criteria; and then calculates the weight of each criterion by AHP to obtain the final score of each project, for the reference of decision making.
With the data of the expert interview and questionnaire, we show that this evaluation model of new product development projects is very effective and useful through the case study.
