For mobile phones, the trend has been towards high-frequency-based and multi-frequency-based. However, how to design a broadband and dual-band or multi-band mobile phone antenna is very important. This Thesis describes two kinds of mobile phone antenna design, the first antenna design is using to a similar to the square pieces of metal to enhance the impedance bandwidth, and increasing the number of coupled bending of metal lines to reduce the antenna area; finally, change in coupling position, that can improve the impedance matching characteristics and allow to further reduce the antenna size. From the experimental data, this antenna can operate in GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GPS / DCS 1800 / PCS 1900 / UMTS 2000 / ISM 2400 / WiMax 3500. The second antenna comprises an outer loop strip, an inner inverted-L strip connected to the outer loop strip, and an parasitic inverted U-shaped shorted strip. The impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna can cover the GSM 850 (824 ~ 896 MHz) band, the GSM 900 (890 ~ 960 MHz) band, the DCS 1800 (1710 ~ 1880 MHz) band, the PCS 1900 (1850 ~ 1990 MHz) band, the UMTS (1920 ~ 2170 MHz) band, the ISM (2400 ~ 2484 MHz) band, and the WiMax (3400 ~ 3600 MHz) band. 潘善政 學位論文 ; thesis 52 zh-TW
