Description
Summary:碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 應用設計研究所 === 98 === Based on the motif of the 88 Flood, Utopian.Flee from home.Cries for help:Rondo form reflects the traumatized relationship between human and nature while providing perspectives on natural disasters. The creation framework contains three major themes: 1) sincere concern in a realistic aspect; 2) demonstrative analysis in a rational aspect; and 3) creative release in a sensitive aspect. The creation-based study first examined self-existence by collecting relevant materials and then expressed concerns over the threats to the overall ecological environment. In the second part of the study, the visual characteristics of lenticular media and the feasibility to install and exhibit ready-made objects were explored, followed by personal, sensitive inspiration, thoughts and realization, which were transformed into tangible images through creation. The four pieces of artwork, Utopian Fantasy, Butterfly Ripples, Tempest: Chaotic Rotation, and Drastic Green Dynamics, were created by combining lenticular images and ready-made objects in a compound exhibition form, to present two extreme worlds as a result of natural unbalance and artificial manipulation of the environment. The symbolic details of the works create images hidden under multiple contexts; a formative speculation was derived from the rondo form, to interpret the principles of circle of life. The objective of the creations is to elaborate on the opposite and conflicting relationship between natural ecology and human civilization from a diversified and macroscopic perspective. Through complicated lenticular paintings and the installation process of ready-made objects, the completed works are provided with a theatre-like space for exhibition, in the hope of bridging the communication gap between the artist and spectators and raising concern among the public for the beautiful land, the Earth.
