Description
Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 口語傳播學研究所 === 98 === The study attempts to research a city developed by the orientation of cultural tourism-Tainan City. Therefore, out of the concern of the city’s future and the trend of blogging life events, the study tries to answer the following questions: First, what cultural elements in Tainan create visitors’ deep emotional feeling? Second, how did bloggers use words and pictures to demonstrate their travel experiences in Tainan? In order to analyze the visitors’ travel experiences, I use the content analysis as the major research method. Besides, the study also draws on MacCannel’s research in 1999 about the method to analyze tourists’ perceptions and feeling for tourism destinations. Briefly, this study shows that people tend to visit the destinations with special cultural index, such as buildings with long history and museums with unique cultural stories, while less arrangement in domestic life experiences. Besides, travel bloggers mostly post activities they do in touring sites, the feeling while visiting, and related tour information. About this, I found that the blogs have becoming one of the important information-exchanging platforms today. The qualitative analysis of the study shows that how people tell their travel experiences is related to the culture forms. In this study, we divide the culture into two kinds: Observable culture, such as food and architectures; and the other are abstract culture, such as religions and changing landscapes. Bloggers can easily select a little concrete objects, for example, old furniture, to create a stylish environments; however, they are hard to use such models to describe religious activities or ordinary places. Therefore, they need to pay more attention to point out or describe the characters and contexts in the story. The characters they frequently mentioned included what local people have encountered in the trip with detailed description in time and space to create reliability.
