Description
Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 中國文學研究所 === 98 === If you want to understand the social cultural atmosphere of the late Ming Dynasty, besides getting information from “the History of Ming Dynasty”, a variety of novels are also quite informative, which makes literary works of the late Ming Dynasty rather popular. The social atmosphere of the Ming Dynasty was quite divergent. Its commerce was prosperous, but people’s spiritual level wasn’t enhanced. Therefore, many social problems, one of which was the prevalence of frauds, were created. “Du-Pian-Xin-Shu” appeared under the circumstances. Its author collected the common frauds and classified them into 24(twenty-four) types of fraudulent modes. He wanted to teach people how to avoid being cheated in times of money-first, fraud-prevalence. In its more eighty cases, about forty cases were related to merchants, who brought fortunes and therefore cheated by swindlers. Therefore, their hardship was revealed. Besides, he also wrote about fraudulent behaviors of monks, nuns, wives, scholars. They used different fraudulent methods from traditional swindlers’. However, they just wanted to satisfy their desires in society of desire-pursuing. The contemporary Taiwan is similar to the Ming Dynasty, which was more than four hundred years ago. Therefore, the thesis tries to analyze cases in “Du-Pian-Xin-Shu”, also comparing them with pi-zi novels, kong-an novels and news cases. The appearance of “Du-Pian-Xin-Shu”, like the 165 hotline in the contemporary Taiwan, these behaviors clearly accounts for the prevalence of frauds.
