According to Luo Shuhui’s study (2008), it has pointed out that the 2007 global pharmaceutical industry market is approximately 712 billion U.S. dollars (24.06 trillion NT dollars); Asia will be the focus of pharmaceutical market growth. Therefore, China Executive Yuan announced the launch of "Biotech off action" plan in March, 2009 to set up a 60 billion yuan biotech venture capital fund. As a result, the annual value of production of Taiwan's biotechnology industry is expected to be doubled in 5 years and soon will become a trillion dollar industry. The data shown has indicated that the biotech industry will definitely be the future and is expected to attract more entrepreneurial investments. Every year, there are numerous new start-up establishment businesses; however, only a handful of companies stay in business. So how to start a successful business has always been a difficult subject to overcome for many novice entrepreneurs. There is a relative lack of entrepreneurial venture studies of personal business in the country. In addition, I had the experience of co-founding a biotechnology company with friends about ten years ago and once again a second company now. Due to the above reasons, I hope to utilize this opportunity of writing this thesis to summarize the importance of integrating the concepts of successful entrepreneurial venture through a thorough reflect of my own experiences. Also, to gain different experiences and insights from other industry entrepreneurs via interviews, This will allow me to learn from my second entrepreneurial venture experience and also provide references to determined entrepreneurs. The main purpose of this study is to research my path to start a company as an individual entrepreneur. The impact of the accumulated ten-year personal entrepreneurial experience and achievements on my second entrepreneurship is investigated. In addition, the key factors to succeed in the Biotech industry business are also explored. In short, the study has three purposes: First, to identify the key to the success of start a business in biotech industry. Secondly, to discuss if the first entrepreneurial business experience benefits the success of the second one. If yes, what the mechanism is. Third, how the first entrepreneurial venture experience stirs up again the confidence of pursuing another one. Through the above research, this study has found that the following are indeed key factors in a successful biotech industry business: entrepreneur personal qualities, motivation for entrepreneurship, finance, business partners, management team, business model, and core competencies. The first start-up entrepreneurial experience gained has definitely helped to obtain confidence and success in another one. These conclusions can serve as references for novice entrepreneurs or for those who want to start another entrepreneurship continuously in the emerging biotechnology industry. none 翁望回 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 106 zh-TW
