The concept of locale is adopted from Pierre Bourdieu. whereas the concept of culture is adopted the culture interpretation from Bronisław Malinowski to become the central topic of culture discovery. This dissertation is divided into two parts; the first part will be discussed the embolic spatial type for music performing facilities, then the second part will be discussed the abstract spatial culture when performing music. With interlacing of both time and space, it will produce the great culture value for each music performing field. The development of music in Taiwan includes traditional and western music in which the performing fields have to present its individual performing uniqueness. However, the performing field for western music is deeply influenced by European culture. Based on the development of European performing field, it has depicted the orientation of the western music in Taiwan The music performing fields in Taiwan have different performing types, which include indoors and outdoors. For each field where music is performed, it all has epochal meaning to build up the developing track for music performed fields in Taiwan. No matter which type of performing fields, it all serves as a location for music performance instead of only limited for professional performance. By discussing the different music performing fields in this dissertation, we can understand the relationship and development for each performing field. The cultural aspect of music performing fields, despite of the for integrated hardware and spatial development, plenty of elements, such as relevant music activities, performing groups, and audience groups, could also affect the progress of music performing fields and display the unique sense of culture for each performing location. With all of these factors, it’s all closely and tightly related to our society. Hence, the culture of music performing fields can be regarded as the miniature of our social culture. By doing this research, it could let us understand the history of our music development.
