Description
Summary:碩士 === 東吳大學 === 社會工作學系 === 98 === This research aims to observe the activities of young people in the space beyond their own school and home and to explore the display of their subjects in the space which researcher called “Abnormal Space of young people” The researcher did his participant observation through the outreach project of the “Taipei West Area Youth Service Center”. During the participant observation, I took my own ego as the tool of research. Beside the observation notes, I also recorded the mental process and the self-exploration caused by the teenagers in the outreach project ,and than compared the two kinds of texts to explore the display of the subjects of young people. I compare self-situation and young people's activity in the space in the research process, and discovered that young people can take their ease and display their true ego in their “Abnormal Space”, but they also made me envy and anxious. I found that the “Abnormal Space” as the space where young people can liberate their subjects, but the worker of the outreach project must liberate himself (or herself) from the frame of the social class, and then he (or she) could have the opportunity to have conversation and to work with the young people. I am able to see the true subject of the young people in the space, and face the reflection of the self-subject. The research also provides another point of view of the outreach project ,and shows that social worker of outreach project may face the same reflection of the self-subject in the beginning of the outreach project. I would like to share the experience to those workers who join the outreach projects in the future.
