This research proposed the frame of research and path diagram of canonical correlation analysis according to the research purpose and analysis of literature search. This research was mainly focused on parents whose children between 0-11 years old with autism (N=239). This research used ourselves-designed questionnaire in life adjustment or social participa- tion for parents to be research tools. After data analysis, the researching finding was as follow: 1. The main interviewee are parent with autism children, who are mother, age among 35-45, university education degree, below 25,001-50,000 NT dollars income per month, middle class, nuclear family, Buddhist and married. 2. The main interviewee’s children are with autism, age among 6-12, elder brother or sister and most of their disable level is low. 3. Parents who have autism children tend to present positively in life adaptation chart, especially in family and social adaptation. However, they have difficulties in role and physical adaptation. 4. Parents who have autism children will have no obvious differences in life adaptation according to their gender, religion, income, children’s age, orders of children’s birth. However, different age, degree, marriage situation, career, family type, children’s disable level, social status will cause parent have obvious differences in life adaptation. 5. Parents with autism children tend to present passively in the social participation chart. They participate in religion and education activities more than social affairs. 6. Parents with autism children have no obvious differences in social participation according to their different marriage situation, religion, family type, order of children’s birth. However, different gender, age, degree, career, monthly income, children’s age, children’s disable level, social status will cause parent have obvious differences in social participation. 7. The relation between life adaptation and social participation of parent with autism children is negative. In short, when parents with autism children face difficulties from society adaptation, family adaptation, physical adaptation, mental adaptation and role adaptation, they may participate less in education research, community activities, public affairs. However, they tend to participate more in religion activities.
