The questionnaire survey entitled “Parental Involvement on Pre-school Children from" Three to Six During Critical Period” is modeled on the handbook of “To Disclose the Secret of Child Development During Year Three to Six Handbook, Version of 2007” published by the Ministry of education. The data after collecting is analyzed through t-test, one way ANOVA and LDS. By doing so, we can understand how the variables including parent sex, age, educational background, occupation, number of children, child sex and age result in any differences on preschoolers. Major findings are listed below. 1.Findings indicate that parents of higher educational background, occupation, and children of different age group tend to have distinct differences on children’s physical, cognitive and language involvement during critical period. Whereas the level of involvement on children’s emotional development, these three variables seem to have no differences on preschool children. Yet, we cannot deny parents’ active involvement though the result shows no obvious differences. As to parent sex, mothers’ involvement is more active than fathers; as to child sex, girls are higher than boys. 2.Findings indicate that five of the seven independent variable, including parent sex, age, educational background and occupation demonstrate obvious difference on active involvement. 3.Findings indicate that there is no connection between the number of children and parents’ active involvement towarad their physical, cognitive, language and social, emotional development during critical period. 4.Findings indicate that among the three variables including parent educational background, child sex and child age group all have distinctive relationship with active involvement throughout the entire developmental and critical period. Findings of this research can provide parents, the media and government institutes as reference or potential direction for further study. Shu-Chao Tsai 蔡淑昭 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 171 zh-TW |
