Summary: | 碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 心理輔導研究所 === 98 === The purpose of this research was to explore the long-distance romantic relationships. Through unstructured in-depth interviews, this study collected 7 texts from 3 participants who were experiencing long-distance romance. Based on the hermeneutic phenomenological methodology, the study conducted Ricoeur’ s hermeneutic approach to analyze the texts. The three essential themes are: (a) The distance push the long- distance romantic relationships to arouse desire and sincerity , (b) The long- distance lovers take control of falling in love with someone and the image of partners can’t ever shatter, (c) The long- distance romantic relationships conflict between reality, and it relies on distance. To synthesize these three subjects, the ‘it's like flowers but in the mirror, you see it but you can't ever touch and smell them.’ metaphor for the essence of long-distance romance relationships. Furthermore, this research analyzes the psychological process from 3 participants who were experiencing long-distance romance, and use a simple diagram to explain. I found out there are three kinds of different love type attitudes. Finally, discuss the result of this research, and come out a summarized figure.
Based on these essential themes and discussions, I believe there are useful suggestions for long-distance lovers, even for their relatives and friends, or counselors, and future researchers.
