碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 國際貿易學系碩士班 === 98 === Since Taiwan government permit notebook firms to move their factories to China, the percentage of production in China of Taiwan notebook companies increases rapidly. The transfer of emphasis makes China become the most important base of notebook’s production in the world. How to build and maintain the competitive advantage is becoming the important issue for Taiwan notebook companies right now. And, it is necessary for them to discuss this issue. Therefore, this research discusses the operation efficiency among Taiwan and China notebook companies from 2006 to 2008. Furthermore, for companies make the operation efficiency and related units to set up the efficiency target, they will take the technical efficiency, the pure technical efficiency, and the scale efficiency into account. So, we will use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to measure the operation efficiency of notebook companies. The results we found are the major reason of causing inefficiency in operation comes from inefficiency in pure technical on Taiwan. The result means that notebook companies should improve their selling and operating efficiency to decrease the waste of resources. The major reason of causing inefficiency in operation comes from inefficiency in scale on China. The result means that they should improve their scale in selling and operating.
