博士 === 中國文化大學 === 地學研究所 === 98 === Despite the fact that previous studies have examined antecedents or consequences of place attachment independently; there is still a lacuna in the literature for a model integrating antecedents and consequences simultaneously. Therefore, the purpose of this investigation was to create a model integration those antecedents and consequences of place attachment dimensions (i.e., place dependence, and place identity) among hikers in Yangmingshan National Park. Using LISREL software, results show that the place dependence is best predicted by destination attractiveness, accessibility and familiarity with destination, whereas the only predictor of place identity is the activity involvement. The destination loyalty and environmentally responsible behavior are significant consequence variables of place attachment. The managerial sectors may apply place attachment in recreation settings management.
