碩士 === 國立虎尾科技大學 === 資訊管理研究所在職專班 === 98 === Each year libraries purchase rights to use various kinds of electronic the information banks; however, these resources could benefit most people only when they are friendly to users. Most libraries adopt two strategies to help users quickly find what they need. One is to develop their own query system; the other is to purchase systems developed by service providers. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. After experiencing numerous known and unknown bugs generated from existing query systems in the university, and also the frustrated efficiency unfriendly user interfaces, the researcher the idea proposes to develop a brand new query system. This system provides a friendly interface for users to make query, and for librarians to maintain their systems and manage related information. Hopefully it will give users the most efficient and satisfying using experience. The new system is designed to integrate every electronic resource that can be acquired on the intranet.
