Summary: | 碩士 === 國立虎尾科技大學 === 工業工程與管理研究所 === 98 === With the rise of newly-burgeoning countries, globalized economy has become more competitive, while problems in short of natural resources as well as salary structure in Taiwan have gradually emerged, and the challenges it will confront are turning more critical. In order to seek for novel competitive edge, it is most important that Taiwan must have sought a new approach for itself. In contrast to other countries, we are reputed with the development advantage of knowledge-intensive industry for domestic scientific and technological potential is fast on the growth, and well playing the crucial role that dominates the economic transformation of Taiwan. For now, it has already become a regular norm that research is conducted in locality A and manufacturing in locality B. And it is necessary to maintain high-level of flexibility and responsiveness if it is to keep globalized competitive edge, and it should also build up competitiveness – fast response upon time (Youssef, 1992), which is reckoned as to be the theme of this study. 。
The research content of this study would be found into three parts, and the first part is of the reference to previous literatures using expert questionnaire, screening out new products to bring in agility criterion as An Analysis of the Critical Agility Factor in Launching a New Product to Mass Production for mass production. For the second part, it would resort to Interpretive Structural Modeling(ISM) to find out the hierarchical and reliant relationship for agility criteria; for the third part, it would base on mutually reliant relationship from ISM model to analyze Analytic Network Process (ANP), and obtain the weight of new product to bring in agility criteria for mass production.
Based on ISM and ANP analyzed results, 14 items of agility criteria can be found into three tiers, the bottom tier, middle tier, and highest tier, and criteria of the highest score in these three tiers are respectively as process flexibility, problem solving capability, and production yield. As is well considered in this study, though problem solving capability and production yield occupy number 2 and 3 in ranking position among the entire weight they can be easily affected as their hierarchy is not very high. Therefore, they will only be considered when they there is problem at that tier or higher tier. As for the bottom tier, it is found with extent of module, while production flexibility and process flexibility and the next criteria have occupied No. 5, 4, and 1 in ranking position, with rather high score. Therefore, this study has suggested that when it is necessary to improve the key factor as agility when entire products are to introduce mass production, it is necessary that efforts should be first made on these three criteria. Among them, the score of process flexibility is prominently higher than other criteria, and should be prioritized as criteria for improvement.
