A Study of Local Industry Channels Constructing and Network Governance: Gongguan Ziziphus-Jujuba Industry

碩士 === 國立聯合大學 === 經濟與社會研究所 === 98 === The main purpose of ziziphus-jujuba industry study is to help local industry development through professional ability of channel proprietors. ziziphus-jujuba industry channel establishment process is analyzed with the idea of channel establishment and network governance. Does interaction of actioners help local industry development? This study focuses on: 1. association between ziziphus-jujuba product or commodity and channel establishment, 2. exploration of ziziphus-jujuba industry channel establishment through network governance, 3. discussingfunctions of interaction among public secotr, private sector and non-profit organizations on ziziphus-jujuba industry channels, and 4. discussing relation between Hakka culture in Gongguan Township and ziziphus-jujuba industry and future development. With qualitative study through literature reivew, interviews are made to understand ideas tha affect channel establishment and network governance interaction. In-depth interviews are made with public sector, for-profit organizations and third sector actioners to understand interaction in ziziphus-jujuba channel establishment process. Local workers in history are also iinterviewed to better understand development of ziziphus-jujuba industry and factors affecting ziziphus-jujuba industry channel establishment. We intereviewed 15 people, including 2 at public sector, 6 in proft-seeking organizations, 2 in non-profit organizations, 2 ziziphus-jujuba farmers and 3 local hisotry workers. Interactions among the three departments are arranged and compared with literature theory to propose ziziphus-jujuba industry channel network establishment and network establishment study findings and suggestions. It is found that, in ziziphus-jujuba industrychannel establishment, ziziphus-jujuba industry was turned into tourism orchard for fresh fruit market from dry fruit market under impacts from imported ziziphus-jujuba from China. There are different channels for consumers or wholesalers. In channel establishment process network, public sector, profit-seeking organizations and third sector actioners had interaction in sharing professional abilities and resources. Transportation and sales system and product sorting were built in fresh fruit channel establishment. Innovation and R&D help make dry fruit into commodities. the public secotr provide subsidy policies. The third sector becomes the communication platform among the three sectors in establishment of channels. Combination of Hakka culture and ziziphus-jujuba industry does not fit in ziziphus-jujuba and Hakka foods. Hakka elements are introduced into overall gold town leisure agriculture environment. Or, Hakka images in ziziphus-jujuba experience activities will make consumers better understand association between ziziphus-jujuba industry and Hakka culture.
